Life--and death--happens. Of this, there is no doubt, and, like time, it marches on. The last couple months have been a vortex of emotions and activity around here: hospice, the passing of my father-in-law, grieving and distracting, visits with family and a new grandchild, a new furniture set upstairs resulting an update in the man cave with the former living room set and the end of the first quarter and grading where I teach. And, now, there’s the inevitable pre-holiday rush of reviews awaiting completion with the arrival of the latest--the reference Triangle Art Anubis turntable, which weighs a whopping 150 lbs.! It’s going to be a fun but hectic season. To ensure that my media stand, with its stated 200 lb. capacity, can accommodate the table and other components, I have enlisted a weight lifting stand to support it that my younger brother, Pablo, built for me years ago (thanks, Pablo!). I am awaiting the arrival of some tools for the setup, which should hopefully be completed by week’s end. And, then, we’re off to the races! Currently on the review docket are:
