By Juan C. Ayllon If you want a premium power cable, but don’t want to pay top dollar, WK Audio’s ‘The Two’ is worthy of your consideration. Over the course of numerous review sessions the last several years, “The Two” has played a strong support act to its more expensive siblings, “The Air” and “The One”, adding a synergy in bringing out the best in my reference system. Handcrafted, it employs several crisscrossing layers of shielded, high purity copper, a proprietary mechanical vibration damping, elastomeric material, and Furutech FI-E11/FI-11 plugs. It comes sheathed in an attractive, bright blue mesh. A silent, but valuable partner, its contributions were duly noted when it replaced another brand’s high quality power cord at the DAC when I was writing my review of “The Air” at Positive Feedback. The impact was immediate: the music took on a more pleasant, bold, balanced, and refined tone (you can read that review HERE). “The Two” performed admirably powering the preamplifier in this Prairie Audio Man Cave review of “The One” (HERE). As seen towards the bottom of the photo below, it was plugged into the PrimaLuna preamplifier during my review of the $22,000 Usher TD-10 speakers at Positive Feedback (you can read that review HERE). Bottom line, if you want an excellent audiophile grade power cord, but don’t want to spend top dollar, the WK Audio “The Two” is an excellent choice.
